Temperature blanket colors and ranges
We use ten bands of 10°F, the same in every city, so a color always means the same weather. Below are the two palettes, in real yarn shades, and how many rows each band takes across six very different climates in 2025.

Fixed bands make hot and cold cities look different, which is the point of the blanket: Phoenix spends most of its year in the top bands, Minneapolis uses nearly every color. If your city only touches five or six bands, split the busiest one into two 5°F colors for more variety; the city page shows which band is busiest.
