Plain rules for using the blanket charts, the row tracker and our ChatGPT app.
Where the temperatures come from
Daily highs come from NOAA weather station records for each city. Stations sometimes miss a day, so we only publish a city's year when its station recorded nearly every day. Forecast yarn amounts for future years are estimates based on recent years, not a weather forecast.
Yarn amounts
Yardage depends on your stitch, hook, yarn and tension. Our numbers assume the gauge shown on each page. Work a swatch and buy a little extra. Yarn prices and skein sizes change; check the label and the current price on what you buy.
The row tracker
A tracker is for your own blanket. You may not resell or republish it. If a row is wrong, write to us and we will fix it and send you the corrected tracker.

The ChatGPT app
Our ChatGPT app uses the same data and math. These terms apply to its answers too.
Limits
We work hard to get every number right, but the site, the app and the tracker are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using them beyond the amount you paid us.
